Internet guru, Mary Meeker released her annual research report on internet activity last week at the “All Things D” conference sponsored by the Wall Street Journal.  This report always contains a wealth of information that makes it important reading for anyone in media.

One of the key facts we noticed in this year’s edition was a statistic that is important to anyone who wants to influence radio listening for meter panelists.

The average smartphone user checks his/her smartphone 150 times per day.

 

Our smartphones have become such a major part of our lives that they cannot be ignored when it comes to influencing radio listening.
