It’s hard to believe when I think about it. I started Impact 25 years ago today in a small office on Boylston Street in Boston. I still remember my first Fax machine and how the paper came in rolls and printed the same way. You needed something heavy at the top and bottom of the page to try and read it before it tried to curl back up into its original form.

Everything was different then but in many ways things have stayed very much the same. Back then our broadcast clients expected quality work that targeted likely survey friendly listeners. This hasn’t changed. Sure the tools were different; how we sent faxes, how we created direct mail, how we called listeners using telemarketers that had individual phones.

Over the last 25 we delivered proven results for our clients. We’ve worked with some of the best broadcasters, research companies and consultants. We’ve talked with and spent long hours with industry radio and recording artists and personalities. Our marketing efforts for clients have been crafted, targeted campaigns that sought to always include what we know consistently worked, but always with the idea of including innovative components that helped our stations outperform their competition.

Today, marketing your radio station is easier and less costly than it was years ago. We’re now consistently able to save our clients 15% or more on their marketing campaigns while continuing to deliver proven results. The biggest challenge today of course is finding broadcast groups willing to invest in promoting their stations.
